    TAKE A WALK

Post by Guest on Tue Oct 10, 2017 11:05 am

    DAMN!!!!

TODD FRAZIER LEADS THE TEAM WITH 48?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

    EVERYBODY ELSE LESS THAN 40!!!!!!

YOAN MONCADA JUST MIGHT BE THE MOST PATIENCE HITTER ON THIS TEAM!!!!!!

OMAR NARVAEZ WAS SLIGHTLY BETTER IN WALK RATE (200+ PA), BUT NO EVERYDAY PLAYER WAS EVEN CLOSE!!!!!

BTW, THE WHITE SOX LEADER IN WALK RATE WITH AT LEAST 400 PLATE APPEARANCES IS THE HIDDEN GEM, YOLMER SANCHEZ, AT 0.066 (35/534)

Yes, among the 6 Sox players (Sanchez, Garcia, Anderson, Abreu, Melky, Davidson) with 400 + PA, Sanchez had the highest BB rate at 6.6%.  Not that impressive considering that Sanchez's rate was still reasonably well below the league average rate of 8.5 % . Which shows how much the Sox have valued plate discipline.
