Hell, "washed up" would be an upgrade. This clown act throws money at "never been".

Don't know they're washed up quite yet, but none of them should be part of any Sox rebuild.  Hard to say what the Sox can get for them.   Frazier is probably the most interesting but he'll be a FA next year so no one is going to cough up a blue chipper for him.    Dodgers have been nosing around on him and Robertson and they still have some decent farm players.  Maybe something can be worked out with them

Not blue chippers, but you don't want to give them away either. Unlike clowns like Tank or Beckham, these two guys can contribute. I think they can get more than just "minor league roster fillers".

[size=13]Unfortunately, real winners in all this for next few years will be Reinsdorf and the front office. Old Jer's bottom line
improves big-time as he sheds $ 40 million+ in payroll and attendance/revenues probably aren't going to plunge
a whole lot more than they already have. Meanwhile Kenny, Hahn, and Co. get a free pass because everyone will
expect bad seasons for 2-3 years.

Sox have basically gotten the kind of blue chippers they should have in the Sale/Eaton deals. Now the work is a lot
harder. They still have 2 OFers and 2 IFers, 1/2 of the rotation and 2/3 of the bullpen to find for the future. We won't
really know how well this is all going to turn out until 2019-2020.

On the largest Sox FB page, people are thrilled with the REBUILD and are renewing tickets.

I don't care if they lose 100 games next season.  Sign bums off the street like 2016 and call it WIN NOW for the idiots who refuse to acknowledge what actually happens on the field and want to pray for miracles.

Go out and stockpile young talent.

Keep it in the Minors until it is ready.

The James Shields IDIOTIC trade had to be the END of WIN NOW.

Of course, Sox are doing the right thing by blowing this up.  Constant sub-.500 years proved their current cast of characters weren't contenders.

The rebuild is off to a good start with the guys they got for Sale and Eaton. Once Quintana is dealt, front office has got to really dig to find the lesser known prospects or disregarded guys like Kyle Hendricks or Mike Rizzo.  That takes good scouting and evaluation to spot.

Here's where my only skepticism comes from - the Sox didn't change anything in their front office. The same people who picked the wrong players for win-now are picking the players for win-later.  At least they got the Sale and Eaton trades right but that was the easy part.  We shall see how they deal with the harder part.
