How the heck did they get into 1st place!?!?!?!?!?

The Sox are like the welfare queen that never leaves the ghetto regardless of how much money the gov gives her because she keeps having babies with different men

The Twons are like so many lower middle class couples that moved near Portage Park in the early 70 did everything right which means graduate, get married then have kids.  With the guidance of GOD they lived frugally and today many of them are bungalow millionaires.  That's the Twins

A 7-3 record against the Sox helps. Next question is how long they last in 1st place.

OK, WHO ARE THE FIRE SALE ITEMS?

I SAY SAMARDZIJA, DANKS, RAMIREZ, LAROUCHE, AND BECKHAM.  THESE 5 SHOULD HAVE SOME VALUE.

CURIOUS WHAT SALE WOULD BRING.  I NEED AT LEAST 3 BLUE CHIP HITTING PROSPECT.  RIGHT NOW SALE IS PERFUME.  THE RIGHT OF THE TEAM IS THE PIG.

BTW, MICAH JOHNSON IS NOT A MLB CALIBER PLAYER.  TRADE HIS BUTT WHILE PEOPLE ARE STILL FOOLED BY HIS SPEED AND 270 AVG

Seattle would probably express an interest in Ramirez and/or LaRoache.  Don't know what they have to offer and they sure shouldn't be offering any of their young starters.

OTOH, if you want an example of a catcher whose hitting is worse than Flowers, check out Zunino's numbers.  He strikes out more than pitchers do in that league where the pitcher still gets to bat.

Mariners have an "A' ball center fielder, Austin Cousino, who played with/against my kid around Columbus. Keep an eye on him.  Good player, small tho...walks a ton, but it'll be interesting to see if he hits high class pitching

Someone drafted Austin Cousino in my fantasy league minor league draft a couple years ago.  Took me totally by surprise.  He was certainly not on my radar.   Maybe his kid played with or against him, too.  Does the name Birchfield ring a bell, Tim?  (I think he was in the headstone/cemetery business.)

Doesn't ring a bell Jim but I'll check with my son. When your kid plays from age 6 thru 22, lots of kids come and go ...more than any old parent can recall. This Cousino kid stood out b/c he was the best in this area during that period. Kid could really play - and really liked to play baseball. Another kid who played with my son thru high school, Seth Willoughby, was drafted by the Rockies couple years ago. Unfortunately, he's had 2 tommy john surgeries already (back to back), so I'm not sure what his future holds.
