Actually Cream, I think he sucks as often as he doesn't suck. Making him a 500 pitcher.

Unforunately, in today's game, very difficult to have a rotation without at least one Dank caliber starter. Sox have 2, Noesi being the other one.

Now a sensible manager would skip these guys as often as possible. No reason Samardzija and Quintana can't get 35+ starts with around 250IP. Sale may need kid gloves but you should be able to squeeze. 200IP out of him

Unfortunately, excuses and bad stats trump common sense in today's game

I'd pitch all three until their arms fell off. Seriously, who gives....Unless you sign Samardzija in spring training, and how likely is that, he's gone in October - so get your one year out of him and let him have his labrum surgery on the Yankee's dime. Same with Sale - he's leaving, or might leave, when he is a free agent, so if they have a shot at it, damn the torpedos, full speed ahead. Quintana on the other hand is like a Buehrle, he can pitch 500 innings I think.

That is the interesting thing about Samardz - the Sox have no incentive to baby him. His agent may put up a squawk but that could fall on deaf ears.
SAle is signed guaranteed through 2017 with favorable club options for 2018 and 2019.  Quintana is signed through 2018 with club options for 2019 and 2020.  Sox don't want to see their arms blow out anytime soon.

Why would samardzija agent squawk?!?!?!? More starts= more wins = more money = more commission

The Sox should go 4 man. 1 2 3 are obvious. Have Danks and Nowsi alternate as 4.

    Cooper doesn't have the balls

He's like a bad fucking toothache that doesn't go away.

    From Rotoworld.com:

"Phillies claimed OF Jordan Danks off waivers from the White Sox. Danks was designated for assignment last week after batting .222/.303/.291 in 132 plate appearances last season. He'll be a reserve outfielder for the Phils."
