Joe Cocker

One of the greats from the 60's. Joe possessed one of the most unique voices and stage presences ever. His performance of "With a Little Help From My Friends" at Woodstock easily one of the highlights of the movie for me. He wasn't a one hit wonder by any means...."Feelin Alright'', "The Letter" among others. All great stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRzKUVjHkGk

One of my faves too..for anyone who thinks he was a joke, or a characture of John Belushi, I recommend buying the Joe Cocker Live album ..one of the best .

His version of Little Help From My Friends is probably my favorite cover of a Beatle's song.  Always liked his songs and covers.  A clearcut talent.

The links to Woodstock are disappearing as quickly as the heroes of World War II.

Not to hijack, but we just lost a member of the VFW my students have visited for the past 15 + years. Leo was 90.
