What a great industry if you are an above average player!!  Even better for STIFFS like Beckham.  The cash just flows!!!

Yes it does ..and you shouldn't be yelling at me when I say the Sox have almost as much cash as the rest of the teams....again, not the yanks, red sox, dodgers ..but the rest? - right there with them

The Dodgers are expected to let Hanley Ramirez walk as a free agent, creating a hole at shortstop. Instead of handing the job over to Erisbel Arruebarrena, it appears they're targeting Ramirez, who is owed $10 million with a $10 million club option for 2016. The White Sox shortstop batted .273/.305/.408 with 15 homers, 74 RBI and 21 steals this past season."

Pederson PLUS Seager should get 'er done... Smile

It's possible that Dodgers would target Ramirez but Nightengale may have forgotten that Ned Colletti is no longer in charge and the Dodgers are no longer (hopefully) a dumping ground for expensive 30+ yr olds.   Friedman and Zaidi are going to get their laptops out and calculate what Ramirez is worth and what value they can give up.  Seager should be ready to take over by 2016, so the idea that Dodgers will give up anything beyond B- /C+ level prospects for Alexei does not make sense...
