The KARK was on Halsted the other day and ran into the SICKO FANT. After telling me to kiss his black ass, he told me Roger is rfight and the Sox can contend in 15 if they just spend the money. Simply buy the best starter and the best hitter and the best closer and theSox would be a force to be reckoned with.

The only salary he dumps is Dunn and maybe Viciedo. Other than that, he claims the Sox should have contended in 13 and 14, and should have won in 12. No reason Sox can't be in the 15 playoffsif they just spend.

The SICKO FANT told me that he might even make Nomadsfest to explain why the Sox s/b the 2015 favorites

All they really have to do is sign Victor Martinez, Ben Zobrist, Aramis Ramierez, the Cuban outfielder Mart wrote about, Johnny Cueto, Y. Gallardo or James Shield, and to close, Soriano or Uehara  and they should be all set to contend in 2015....Is there a FANBOY big enough to believe they will do this??

Gee, John, a writer has to write something.

    Notice a trend, John?
The Sox have a pretty shitty ball club every season.  Right at the trading deadline just about every season the horseshit Sox are 5 or 6 games out of the Wildcard, or now, the 2nd Wildcard and some writer will consider them contenders because that is what writers do.  Write.

It does not seem to matter to the writers that the Sox are really horseshit and play that way, it is an easy column to write and they know crazies are out there expecting it.

    What a joke!!!

    Some goof in the stands.

He proved to me he is a total dumb ass when he wanted Beckham to concentrate on POWER!!!

Then he tops it by saying Gordon should play in LEFT FIELD!!

He obviously has NO CLUE what he is watching.

Yep...Gordon is a stiff. Sorry John, and Frank B, but he's convince me yet again......you can tell by how he bats with 2 strikes on him. He's swinging at the next pitch no matter where it is.  You saw that perfectly yesterday. Two strikes, and he hits a foul ball and both Stone and Paciorek both essentially shook their said and said "geez, that pitch almost hit him in the knee"....Sure, that's cause he was swinging at that pitch no matter what. He can't tell a good pitch from a bad one ..that's why he strikes out, 5 yrs into his fuckin career, on pitches that bounce 3 feet in front or on either side of the plate.  Why ANY pitcher would throw a strike to him with 2 strikes is beyond me ...he's swinging no matter what ...
DFA his ass and let him go play for the Mets ..or the Phillies ...or as Winstonage says, the Giants ...just get his ass out of here.  Semien can do what he does for a hell of a lot less money ..or, add another few million and sign Zobrist, a real ballplayer

If he's not traded (and I HIGHLY DOUBT that he will be), he is under control for next season and won't be going anywhere. Defensively , he's been very good wherever he has played, offensively he's been a HUGE disappointment.
If he is what he is ,at .225-.250  he might as well go for the long ball, I just don't understand why he has not been able to make the adjustment after the way he started hitting the ball in the alleys on a line.
I thought he would be a 15-20 Hr player along with 40+doubles.

    I was wrong.
    Time to move on.

    He is arbitration eligible again.

He is making $5,000,000 dollars this season.

He is basically DARWIN BARNEY with a few home runs.

He may actually be NON TENDERED in the off season.  It is a business.  They can pay some minor leaguer the MINIMUM.  As long as the guy can field the position, it makes more MONEY sense than paying Gordon 5 or 6 million dollars.

Are you waiting for some nonsensical FREE AGENT YEAR where Gordon goes hog wild to get the big money and the Sox get to the PLAYOFFS in 2015????

    Gordon's CAREER YEAR?????

John I just don't understand why, when he finished his 2013 season so strong while batting in a crouch, bat a little quieter and flatter, and his stroke short and quick, he didn't stay with that this year?  When I saw he went back to that straight up stance with that long loopy swing in April or May I almost crapped my pants in disbelief.  Is he stupid? stubborn?  Whats his story for Crissake?

Unless they somehow get traded, I would expect Beckham, Viciedo and De Aza to be non tendered
